Their sparkling wines are made from their vineyard on the property. Boulder Canyon, at the western edge of town, connects Sturgis to Deadwood. Stop along the way to play 18 holes of golf at Boulder Canyon Golf Club at Apple Springs. The mystical Bear Butte, long sacred to the Plains Indians, rises 4,426 feet above sea level north of town. Hike to the top from Bear Free Live Shows at Rally Point in Downtown Butte State Park for a view that covers three states. Nearby, Fort Meade Recreation Area has almost 7,000 acres of public land. Pets are welcome. Camping is allowed at both the Alkali Creek Trailhead and Alkali Creek Horse Camp. Sturgis is home to legendary fun, including the Off-Road Rally, Sept. 11 to 13, 2020; the Sturgis Camaro Rally, June 25 to 28, 2020; the AMA Sturgis Supermoto Race, Sept. 11 and 12; and the Sturgis Mustang Rally, Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, 2020.
