If the weather is nice, you can’t beat the view and the vibes at Clearwater’s Coachman Park , home to a sun-tinged playground ideal for kids over the age of 5. There’s a pirate theme, two huge climbing structures, a sandpit and more. Done playing? Take a stroll along the water-front and bask in the salty sea air. Coachman Park MULTIGENERATIONAL GROUPS Boyd Hill Nature Preserve is so Florida: With lush walking trails and tons of wildlife unique to the Sunshine State, it’s a great place to take the family for a couple hours. The serene preserve spans 400 acres in south St. Pete, offering a glimpse at diverse habitats for animals such as gopher tortoises, alligators and marsh rabbits. Admission is less than $5 per person for all ages. There is also a playground for the kiddos and multiple picnic shelters. If your feet get tired, consider booking a private tram tour. One tram is $35, and can seat up to seven people for a 60-to 90-minute tour. Note: Boyd Hill is closed Mondays. Take the family to Catapult Adventure Park , an all-ages spot on 66th Street in St. Pete that offers ways for kids young and old to jump, slide, climb and bounce.
