Her first self-titled album, “Shevizzle,” was released in 2016 and features all original songs. When she wails on her electric guitar, her genre-bending alternative R&B and indie pop music mashups create a powerful performance that leaves audiences mesmerized. As an openly queer artist, Philidor’s showstopping performances at Pride festivals continue to defy conventions. THE BAYCARE SOUND AT COACHMAN PARK, CLEARWATER Located inside the Plaza Tower between Beach Drive and The Sundial in downtown St. Pete, this laid-back taphouse serves up a strong craft beer lineup and a spacious, pet-friendly courtyard where local bands perform regularly. THE ALE & THE WITCH • St. Pete • town waterfront amphitheater features a striking modern canopy covering 4,000 seats and a lawn that accommodates thousands of additional music fans, all set within a sprawling public park. THE BAYCARE SOUND AT COACH-MAN PARK • Clearwater • This down-beautifully restored, Mediterranean-style theater in downtown Clearwater has been hosting live performances since 1921. Arrive early to enjoy bay views from the outdoor plaza before the show. RUBY’S ELIXIR • St. Pete • The intimate stage at this swanky, speakeasy-style lounge in downtown St. Pete channels a Prohibition-era vibe while regularly hosting jazz and blues acts. RUTH ECKERD HALL • Clearwater • One of the area’s premier performance venues, this modern theater hosts an impressive lineup of national touring acts. With crystal-clear sound and not a bad seat in the house, it’s a standout spot for live entertainment. Jannus Live to see big touring artists; Lost & Found, where I have my residen-cy on the first and third Saturdays; and The Bends always has something cool going on in the indie/underground scene there. When I’m not playing music, my fave hangout is Pinellas Park’s Unlimited Video Games Superstore and Arcade — I love the nostalgic vibe. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL PLACES FOR LIVE MUSIC? JANNUS LIVE • St. Pete • Rock on at this JIMMY B’S BEACH BAR • St. Pete Beach • Set right on the sand at The Beachcomber hotel, this casual beach bar keeps the live music going day and night.
