Historic Downtown Venice Circus Arts Conservatory Florida’s Cultural Coast ® is built on design character and time-honored culture—with the history to back it. The Town of Venice marks its centennial with an 18-month run of events, art installations and celebrations from now through May 2027, while the high-end retail and dining district of St. Armands Circle looks back on 10 decades since its grand opening. Other iconic institutions—including the historic Sarasota Opera House , the Sarasota Art Center and the iconic Sarasota Art Museum building—are also commemorating 100-year milestones in 2026, as they continue to shape our region’s next chapter in the arts. Come 2027, it will be a century since John Ringling brought the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus to Sarasota (earning its “Circus City” nickname). The Ringling and Circus Arts Conservatory will celebrate with special tours, shows and exhibitions honoring the family’s lasting legacy and impact on the area. Bobby Jones Golf Club will celebrate its landmark 100th anniversary in 2027, honoring a century of Sarasota golf history.
