You can book guided cave tours and engage in interactive exhibits in the Visitor Center. Wind Cave National Park Discover two worlds with one stop at Wind Cave National Park–167 miles of known underground passages and 33,971 acres of above-ground wilderness. Named for barometric winds at its entrance, Wind Cave is adorned with boxwork —a unique formation rarely found elsewhere. Part of the above-ground Wind Cave Trail system is connected to the Centennial Trail. Discover wildlife like bison, pronghorn, elk, and prairie dogs. Minuteman Missile National Historic Site Understand the intricacies of the Cold War at Minuteman Missile National Historic Site. The park consists of three sites once part of a Minuteman Missile field: Launch Control Facility Delta-01 with its corresponding underground Launch Control Center, Delta-09 Launch Facility (Missile Silo), and the Visitor Center. Visitors can view the missile through a glass roof and learn its history through guided tours and exhibits. Devils Tower National Monument Rising 1,267 feet above the picturesque Belle Fourche River Valley, Devils Tower National Monument is a stunning geological wonder of epic proportions. Also known as Bear Lodge, the tower is sacred to many Native American tribes. Devils Tower was the first national monument, dedicated in 1906. Enjoy the Monument on the ground or by climbing with a special permit in accordance with National Park Service regulations.
