WATER ACTIVITIES @CONFESSIONSOFAKAITLIN HIGHLINE LAKE STATE PARK & MACK MESA LAKE Located half an hour from Downtown Grand Junction, Highline Lake State Park’s two lakes have plenty of room to enjoy soaking up some sun on the convenient swim beach or glide across the water on a relaxing kayak excursion. COLORADO RIVER The stretch of the Colorado River that runs through the Grand Junction area is class I or II rapids, meaning that you can pick up a paddleboard and get on the water for a calm, scenic float. Rafting is another favorite -fit for the whole family! There are many outfitters to choose from if you didn’t travel with your own equipment. You can even settle on one of the banks and try your luck reeling in some fish. Before heading out on the water, stop by Western Anglers in Downtown Grand Junction. Explore Lands End waterfalls on the Grand Mesa or Big Dominguez Canyon waterfalls on No Thoroughfare Canyon Trail for sparkling cascades. Chasin’ Waterfalls Did You Know?
