MOREHEAD HISTORY & RAILROAD MUSEUM , Morehead GREEN RIVER MUSEUM , Morgantown Family fun awaits at the free-admis-sion Morehead History & Railroad Museum, with complimentary guided tours to explore artifacts from historic railroads and the infamous Rowan County Feud. Among the highlights are model train displays, a miniature radio-controlled Belle of Louisville steamboat model and a working player piano. LINCOLN MUSEUM , Hodgenville Steps from Lincoln Square at the Lincoln Museum, colorful dioramas and an assemblage of memorabilia present Abraham Lincoln’s life and times, from his early Kentucky years to the night of his assassination. The new Global Lincoln exhibit shares a glimpse into the 16th president’s worldwide appeal. LOUISVILLE SLUGGER MUSEUM , Louisville A factory tour and free souvenir mini bat. The Bat Vault with legendary players’ bat models and a behind-the-scenes All-Star Experience. A batting cage and a bat hand-turning demonstration. The free-admission Green River Museum, perched high above Green River and overlooking Lock 4 at Woodbury, is the repository of histor-ical photographs, manuscripts and other Butler County artifacts. Open on Saturdays, June–September, from 12–4 p.m. SEEK MUSEUM , Russellville Look at the stories and struggles of slavery, emancipation and equality through the eyes of African American trailblazers, like journalist and civil rights activist Alice Allison Dunnigan, at the SEEK Museum. This complex of seven historical buildings is located in two National Register Districts, with exhibits and guided tours offered. MILL SPRINGS BATTLEFIELD NATIONAL MONUMENT , Nancy Mills Springs Battlefield National Monument offers driving/audio tours, guided battlefield walks, living history programs with artillery drill and firing demonstrations, and guided tours of the Brown-Lanier House — a home, hospital and head-quarters before and after the Civil War occupied by both Confederate and Union generals. FLEMINGSBURG COUNTY COVERED BRIDGE MUSEUM , Flemingsburg In the Covered Bridge Capital of Kentucky, the free-admission Flemingsburg County Covered Bridge Museum preserves the history and romance of when more than 400 of these storied structures — also known as kissing bridges — marked the early to mid-1800s Kentucky landscape.
