WILDLIFE VIEWING With 9,175 acres, the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge is made up of barrier islands, dunes, beach woodland, freshwater marshes, maritime forests, ponds and ocean beaches, and is situated on a thin strip of coastline between Back Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
