WHAT’S NEW | CONNECT WITH AMERICA CITYSWING New attractions include CitySwing , an indoor golf simulator paired with food and drink; Sandbox VR , a futuristic VR experience inspired by the Holodeck from Star Trek ; Level99 , an innovative social gaming playground with 50 real-world physical and mental challenges, plus food and drink; and Movement , a 37,000-square-foot climbing, yoga and fitness center. In summer 2025, Puttshack will bring its indoor, nightlife-vibe, tech-infused mini-golf experience to Reston Station. Once the game is done, a globally inspired, mixology-obsessed signature bar and restaurant will be waiting. CITYSWING RESTON Attractions & Experiences In partnership with the NHL’s Washington Capitals, Fairfax County Park Authority welcomed a new outdoor in-line skating rink at Lake Fairfax – ideal for both roller hockey and skating – that is open to the public when not reserved. The rink is the newest addition at this popular park that already offers a pump track, skatepark, waterpark and lots of hiking, boating, camping and biking. AC HOTEL / RESIDENCE INN RESTON America’s 250 th Looking ahead to America’s 250th birthday in 2026, George Washington’s Mount Vernon (home of America’s first president) and George Mason’s Gunston Hall (home of the Father of the Bill of Rights) are teaming up to host events for the celebration. They’ll be working with the Fairfax County 250th Commission, which is planning an interactive “experience” that will travel around the county throughout 2025, highlighting historically significant sites and stories from the past 250 years. Marriott is poised to open in 2025 at the growing Reston Station, bringing 243 guest rooms, 94 upscale condos, restaurants and amenities to the Metro-adjacent plaza.
