Winter Park, Grand Lake, Granby, Kremmling, Fraser, Hot Sulphur Springs | COME TO LIFE Day 2 As the Colorado River carves its way from the Continental Divide to the Pacific, it treats Grand County visitors to some of the greatest rafting and Gold Medal fishing around. Jagged red canyons and lush valleys provide ideal backdrops for mellow floats; outfitters can be found throughout the county. Granby offers Western hospitality, and a main street of antique shops and restaurants. Day 3 An outdoor paradise, Kremmling has some of the state’s finest fishing and elk-hunting grounds, plus more than 300 miles of off-roading trails. Head to Rusty Spurr Ranch for horseback rides; hike to Radium Hot Springs on the Colorado River; and journey to the top of Kremmling Cliffs for panoramic views and Muddy Creek fishing access. Retreat to Hot Sulphur Springs to soak in mineral-rich pools at the town’s namesake resort and spa. Then peek into the Pioneer Village Museum, relax for a spell at Dari Delite cafe and while away the day with fishing, trails, disc golf, picnic areas and a walking bridge over the Colorado River. Winter Fun Winter Park Resort’s diverse terrain, adventure-concierge service and Winter Park Express Amtrak route from Denver make it a top destination. Nearby Granby Ranch is a long-time family spot, and Bluebird Backcountry offers lessons, guided experiences and more.
