Three large charcoal kilns remain there from the mid-1800s. State signage explains the history of the local charcoal industry, and how it died out when rail routes changed.” — ROCtraveler30 PiLOT BUTTE WiLD HORSE SCENiC LOOP TOUR | Rock Springs to Green River 4.5 4.5 Chinese Joss House Museum Evanston Delish Donuts & Coffee Alpine Expedition island Park Green River granite Hot Springs Jackson National Elk Refuge Jackson Pitchfork Fondue Western Cookout Pinedale Sweetwater County Historical Museum Green River Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa Teton Village “The minute we pulled off Hwy. 191 and onto CR4-14 we saw four wild horses. Beautiful. The dirt road is bumpy but, if you take it slowly, it’s fine. Not only are you looking for wild horses, but the views are spectacular. You even can get great views of Pilot Butte. Farther down the road we were able to see four more wild horses, so it was a great day.” — billandgeorgeanna @bleutrooper @willowbranchfarmgirl FREMONT LAKE | near Pinedale 4.5 “Fremont Lake offers recreation opportunities, but my visit was just for the views. I followed Skyline Drive, stopping frequently at little pullovers to enjoy the incredible views of the lake, the trees and especially the wildflowers. Pops of pink, red, yellow, white, lavender ... the colors were simply wonderful! Best of all was the spectacular Wind River mountain-range overlook. I drove in the morning to take full advantage of the eastern light.” — Sue B. WESTERN WYOMiNg COMMUNiTY COLLEgE’S NATURAL HiSTORY MUSEUM | Rock Springs 5.0 “I read a review on Tripadvisor and decided to check this out. The college has a small, but detailed collection of dinosaur bones. We had walked on the walking paths at the college on previous trips and had no idea these displays were there! You are able to get up close to the displays so you can really get a feel for the size of these creatures. Definitely recommend a visit!” — Wolfepack06 White Mountain Petroglyphs Rock Springs The Wort Hotel Jackson 4.0 Million Dollar Cowboy Bar Jackson Find more Wyoming things to do at tripadvisor.com. 24 CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT: INSTAGRAM/KRIS_KUMAR, INSTAGRAM/SEYORKPHOTOGRAPHY, INSTAGRAM/BLEUTROOPER, INSTAGRAM/WILLOWBRANCHFARMGIRL.
