Living and working elsewhere has helped me appreciate just how unrestrained our access to a pristine natural experience truly is in Grand Junction. The friction between daily life and a profound connection to the sublime beauty of the outdoors is almost nonexistent here. I choose to experience this churning vortex of Grand Junction’s energy as a siren’s call, alluring me back into the wild, the uncharted and the unexplored. The dynamism of the environment in this part of the country will always present new challenges and wonders; I welcome that unknown frontier with a quickening of spirit and a heightened sense of adventure.
