C&D CANAL MUSEUM Looking out over the 14-mile-long Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, you can appreciate the weight of its history. The C&D Canal Museum captures the 165-year-old waterway’s history and showcases what life was like when it was constructed. CHESAPEAKE BAY ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER Protected by the tidal marsh, this is an ideal spot for observing the vast biodiversity of the bay while hiking scenic trails, birdwatching, and kayaking or canoeing. A wonder for any nature lover, we had an unforgettable experience. HARRIS CRAB HOUSE After a day on the bay, a seafood dinner is basically required by law. As the sun set behind us, we headed to the patio at Harris Crab House for fresh oysters, steamed crabs, and a house ale. Talk about a real Maryland experience. VISIT MARYLAND / 27
