EVENTS SPRING National Cherry Blossom Festival March 20–April 11 A beloved seasonal festival honoring the blooming of DC’s cherry blossom trees will feature an array of virtual and outdoor programming in 2021. Washington Nationals Baseball Typically begins in late March The Nationals, 2019 World Series champions, hope to welcome fans back into Nationals Park during the 2021 season. Georgetown GLOW April 2–June 27 & July 2–Sept. 26 Usually held during the holiday season, the 2021 edition will offer two sets of light-focused art installations viewable during the day and night in one of DC’s most historic neighborhoods. Passport DC Typically held May 1-31 Paying tribute to DC’s thriving international culture, this month-long festival usually features embassy open houses on consecutive Saturdays. The Washington Ballet: Swan Lake May 6-16 DC’s beloved ballet company will perform Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ Eisenhower Theater. Memorial Day Concert & Parade May 30 & 31 A star-studded lineup honors the sacrifice of the U.S. military during the annual concert, broadcast on PBS, before a festive parade through DC the following day.
