This 21-acre tract located along the Big Blue River was once part of Crete founder Jesse C. Bickle’s 80-acre homestead. It was the first building in the region to have air conditioning. Built for sound two years before sound movies were being produced (Jazz Singer 1927) and four years before sound movies made it to Nebraska (late 1929). An Art Deco building named after the Egyptian Goddess Isis. The auditorium ceiling is a curved barrel vault with lighting coves along each side, featuring Art Deco columns and cornice.
