Nebraska Wine Country Nebraska’s more than two dozen wineries and tasting rooms spread across the state, winning gold and silver medals for their quality and taste. Many of the wines can be found in restaurants and stores, but award-winning wines taste just that much better when enjoyed on the vineyards that produced them. 1 Feather River Vineyards near North Platte, one of the state’s largest wineries, grows a bevy of grape varieties that have produced dozens of award-winning wines. Visit their tasting room. 2 Three Brothers Vineyard & Winery offers 1 2 free hour-long tours of its Farnam vineyards, as well as dollar tastings, wine by the glass and bottled wine. 3 5 6 3 4 Junto Wine is a bit farther east in Seward. Tastings are available April to December with meat and cheese trays available, as well as live music most Friday nights. 4 SchillingBridge Winery and Microbrewery offers locally made wines and craft beers in Pawnee City. The wines pay tribute to the trains that once ran through the now vineyard, with names like Right O’ Way Red. 5 Silver Hills Winery features meat and cheese trays to accompany its wines, and that’s just one of the fun extras you can enjoy. The grape harvest is in late summer and this Tekamah winery hosts regular “jam sessions” with local musicians. 6 Mac’s Creek Winery & Vineyards just celebrated its 15th year in Lexington; it also has a wine bar in Kearney.
