Head east on Second Avenue in Afton to hike the short trail along Swift Creek to the spring. FLOAT ON A GLACIAL LAKE Tucked in the Bridger-Teton National Forest near Pinedale, glistening Fremont Lake is a haven for kayakers, boaters, anglers, windsurfers and sailors. DELIGHT IN A WESTERN COOKOUT Pitchfork Fondue in Pinedale, featured on Cooking Channel’s “Man, Fire, Food,” offers meals cooked on the tines of a pitchfork over an open fire and served outdoors amid lovely views of the Wind River Mountains. DISCOVER WILD ART The Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson has more than 5,000 works of art representing animals from around the world, including pieces by Georgia O’Keeffe, Andy Warhol and John James Audubon. Situated on a cliff overlooking the National Elk Refuge, the museum also provides a rare chance to observe one of Wyoming’s most iconic mammals. PICNIC IN A HISTORIC PARK Originally a starting point for American West explorer Major John Wesley’s expeditions in 1869 and 1871, Expedition Island in Green River is the perfect spot for family picnics and trout fishing. It’s also a great launching point for tubing, kayaking and rafting on the Green River. WY AM I HERE?
