The Badlands Petrified Gardens at Exit 152 is a unique outdoor display of petrified wood and prehistoric fossils. The Depot Museum located at the south end of Main St., tells the story of Kadoka’s beginning as a railroad town in 1906. A drive south on SD Hwy 73 provides a scenic view of the beautiful badlands basin and surrounding ranch land. Incredible Metals, a metal art studio, is on Hwy 73, 14 miles south of Kadoka. Farther south you can turn west on Hwy 44 for a drive through the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Relax at the city's swimming pool, have a picnic in the park or play a round of golf on our unique sand green golf course. On our main street, you will find the City Bar & Liquor Store, grocery store, post office, bank, vet clinic, hard-ware store, meat locker, flower shop, library, hair salon, clothing store, home decor shop, courthouse and school.
