THEME PARKS A DELIGHTFUL DAY AT WALT DISNEY WORLD’S Here, there's something for every member of the family to enjoy. By Kara Chalmers Magic Kingdom ® Park My husband, two daughters and I couldn't wait to spend the day in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom® Park. From the moment we walked through the gate, my five-year-old daughter Gia began asking to meet Princess Elena, a character from the series “Elena of Avalor.” But my other daughter, Gabriella, who's eight, claimed she’s too old to meet princesses and lobbied hard for the park’s exciting thrill rides: the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the trio of classic coasters—Space Mountain®, Splash Mountain® and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad®. Gabriella won out. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, located in Fantasyland, is a newer ride so we headed there first. Nate and I were surprised to find that the ride isn’t just for kids—it’s fast with sharp turns and lots of fun drops, and we all loved it! Afterwards, we hit some of our all-time favorite Fantasyland rides, including Peter Pan's Flight®, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and “it’s a small world”®. To take a midday break from the heat and bustle, we pre-arranged a character lunch at the lovely Crystal Palace. With its great food and the 12 Kissimmee Destination Magazine
