Enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres as you wander along “Gallery Row,” home to works from local and nationally known painters, sculptors and mixed media artists. Nearby, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art celebrates the history and sounds of the South with the family-friendly Ogden After Hours series. Each Thursday the museum welcomes local and regional bands to perform music that was born down South, including jazz, blues and zydeco. Frenchmen Art Friday Nights at NOMA Market features film screenings, performances and art talks. Some of New Orleans’ best food trucks are also on site.
