Even with all this Florida nature, the course salutes the game's Scottish roots with uphill, downhill and sidehill lies looming even after successful drives. The Dye Course winds around acres of natural wetlands said to be home to deer and perhaps bobcats. Consistent shots out of the tee box are a must, as those Florida touches are a wonder to see but a bear to play out of. The two other courses onsite underwent a 2014 enhancement overseen by veteran superintendent Dick Gray. Additionally, enjoy golf memorabilia on display throughout the PGA Village. Its sister course, the Lakes Course, is known for bringing more water hazards into play, but the Dunes' long fairways winding through bunkers and intermittent lakes will make you plan your shots strategically.
