CHIMNEY ROCK Chimney Rock National COLORADO Monument was home to the Chaco tribe, ancestors of the modern Pueblo Indians, 1,000 years ago. Every 18.6 years, a lunar standstill takes place during the winter solstice, when the moon rises perfectly between Chimney Rock’s iconic spires.
