Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Expansion opening 2018-2019 The world-renowned DC venue will add 72,000 square feet of new performance and events space, art installations and digital advancements. Outside, make use of a new video wall, terrace seating for up to 1,600 people and a scenic walkway leading to the Potomac River and nearby monuments and memorials. Kimpton Mason & Rook Hotel Opened 2016 This stylish hotel recently opened near the 14th Street corridor, one of the liveliest areas in the District. Guests can enjoy spacious rooms and suites (178 total), cocktails at Radiator (which also has an outdoor patio) and 3,625 square feet of meeting space. The gem: a 1,700-square-foot ballroom with two skylights. Kimpton Glover Park Hotel Opened 2016 This 154-room boutique hotel is a peaceful abode just outside of Georgetown. Its main-level ballroom o ers 1,860 square feet of quiet meeting space and can be split into two separate rooms. On-site restaurant Casolare, from acclaimed chef Michael Schlow, provides delectable catering options. Canopy by Hilton & Hyatt House at the Wharf Opening fall 2017 This combined hotel concept will wow visitors to The Wharf with a 1,100-square-foot fitness center, 2,500 square feet of meeting space, a 10,000-square-foot lounge with views of the Washington Channel and a roo op bar. Canopy by Hilton expects 175 rooms, while the extended-stay Hyatt House will feature 238 rooms. Hilton Washington DC/ L’Enfant Plaza @ National Mall Opening 2018 Situated near the Museum of the Bible (opening fall 2017) and the International Spy Museum (opening spring 2018), this historic hotel will reopen completely restored, with 370 guest rooms, 21,000 square feet of meeting space and a grand ballroom accommodating up to 460 people. The Moxy Opening 2018 Adorned with 200 stylish guest rooms and a roo op lounge, this new property from Marriott International, Inc. will bring a chic aesthetic and economy pricing to the heart of downtown DC. Conrad Washington, DC Opening spring 2019 Construction is underway at this Hilton Worldwide hotel, which will reside in downtown’s CityCenterDC. The luxury brand’s new hotel will feature roughly 360 guest rooms and 30,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. NEWHOTELS The Watergate Hotel Re-opened 2016 This historic hotel, located just south of Georgetown along the Potomac River, has recently completed a $200 million renovation. The new and improved Watergate features 336 luxury guest rooms and suites and 27,000 square feet of meeting space, including the 7,000 square foot Moretti Grand Ballroom. Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C. Opened 2016 The redevelopment of the historic, European-style Old Post O ice building has been completed. The highly antici-pated luxury hotel features 263 guest rooms and suites, BLT Prime by David Burke, a spa and 38,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including one of the largest grand ballrooms at a DC luxury hotel. HOTELS COMINGSOON The Wharf InterContinental Opening fall 2017 The new Wharf development will be highlighted by this 278-room luxury hotel, which is slated to feature 18,000 square feet of meeting space, a 5,000-square-foot-spa, and a 5,000-square-foot roo op restaurant and lounge, all with views of the water. Phase 1, completed in 2014, included new stations in McLean, Tysons Corner and Reston. Phase 2, expected to be finished by 2020, will connect DC to Dulles International Airport.
