A variety of choices include fresh, seasonal menus and familiar favorites. 9 VORE BUFFALO JUMP This natural sinkhole was used as a bison trap from about 1500 to 1800 A.D. by at least five different Plains Indi-an tribes and trapped at least 10,000 bison. 2 MEDICINE LODGE ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE An ancient treasure on the western slope of the Bighorn Moun-tains, petroglyphs and pictographs in sand-stone bluffs date back 10,000 years. 4 JIM GATCHELL MEMORIAL MUSEUM See wagons that carried pioneers along the trails and discover how their simple wooden wheels and minimalist furnishings exemplify the travelers’ bravery. 6 ALADDIN GENERAL STORE Find Western wear, jewelry and antiques in this century-old store in Aladdin (ask to explore the treasures in the attic!). Follow tradition by sipping lemonade on the front porch. 8 WASHAKIE MUSEUM & CULTURAL CENTER Learn the unique geolo-gy, archeology, paleon-tology and local history surrounding the Bighorn Basin in Worland. 10 ROCKPILE MUSEUM This free museum in Gillette has something for all ages, including a dress-up section for kids and extensive displays of antique saddles, rifles, fossils and other fasci-nating memorabilia.
