Discover outdoor adventure in Lemmon, a quaint community in the heart of the Cedar River and Grand River National Grasslands.
Its location makes it a prime spot for outdoor enthusiasts, including big game hunters. Recreation areas like Shadehill Reservoir provide miles of shoreline for fishing and camping.
A unique site is the Hugh Glass Monument, where one man became a legend, surviving a grizzly bear attack nearly two centuries ago. The Monument is located on the banks of the Grand River and Shadehill Reservoir at Hugh Glass Park. The Hugh Glass Rendezvous is an annual celebration of Hugh Glass’ history.
Visit Boss Cowman Square downtown and take in the larger-than-life sculpture and mural. The art celebrates the community’s agricultural heritage. Each July, Boss Cowman Days is held with a rodeo and community activities.
