THE ASTRO, La Vista • Get tickets to a concert at The Astro. This 2,400-seat theater and its connecting 5,500-seat outdoor amphitheater offer intimate, state-of-the-art live music experiences. Recent performances have included Bonnie Raitt, Whiskey Myers and The Red Clay Strays.

ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION, Nebraska City • The first Arbor Day was celebrated in Nebraska in April of 1872. Now, the entire nation follows Nebraska’s lead. Join the celebration where it all began, with tree plantings, blossom tours, markets, kids’ games, hayrack rides, a parade and more.
GREAT AMERICAN COMEDY FESTIVAL, Norfolk • Each June, comedy fans travel to Johnny Carson’s hometown to see some of the nation’s best comedians perform in honor of Carson’s lasting legacy. Past headliners include Frank Caliendo, Joel McHale and Martin Short.
