Welcome to Destination Maryland …

WHAT DO YOU DO NOW?

Destination Maryland is created with you in mind, because we want you to explore Maryland your way — whether that’s using the magazine as trip-planning inspiration before rolling out or keeping it in your car as a travel guide once you’re here.

Inspiration Meets Information

There’s a method to our madness! Earlier pages are filled with inspirational articles. The deeper into the guide you get, the more specific information you’ll find.

QR Codes and Digital Goodies

Most articles will feature QR codes — little squares that link to our web site to give you more information. To use them, open the camera app on your phone and focus on the code, making sure to keep steady. A link should pop up in the middle or bottom of the frame. Tap that, and a menu of related articles will appear. The code above contains links to VisitMaryland.org and the digital version of this guide to get started. Oh, we also included a link to a page where you can find some sweet deals and discounts. You’re welcome.

Our Regions

Maryland consists of five regions, each with its own personality and charm. East to west, they are:

1 EASTERN SHORE
2 CENTRAL
3 SOUTHERN
4 CAPITAL
5 WESTERN

Head to page 8 to see them on our state map. On pages 92-120, you’ll be able to explore things to do in each area.
