DINING

Beef, veggie and tuna patties are piled high at Hopdoddy Burger Bar. Empanadas and mojitos at Habana SoCo are best enjoyed under outdoor cabanas. Unwind on Perla’s patio over fresh seafood towers and beachy cocktails.

Contemporary coffee shop Mañana elevates your cup with house-made syrups. Menus at Café No Sé are seasonal and fresh, from breakfast through dinner. Lively steakhouse Maie Day is MICHELIN recommended, known for its whiskey-brined tomahawk pork chops. You’ll find all three restaurants at the South Congress Hotel.

Austin Motel’s sunny spot, Joann’s Fine Foods blends Tex-Mex eats and diner vibes. Intimate Otoko only seats 12 for their nightly omakase menu. The 72-hour dough at NYCstyle Home Slice Pizza has the perfect chew. The cinnamon rolls at family-owned Teal House Coffee & Bakery are a must-try.

Allens Boots ALLENS BOOTS

Lovely Aba feels like a Mediterranean resort, with tender kebabs and rich hummus. Try Oaxacan tlayudas — Mexican “pizza” on thick corn pancakes — at Chapulin Cantina. Behind a nondescript door, Neighborhood Sushi dishes up airy tempura and well-balanced rolls. Snap pics at the famous i love you so much mural, on the side of Jo’s Coffee.

Lucky Robot serves sustainable sushi and tasty grilled bites under hanging flowers. Neighborhood Italian spot Vespaio Ristorante is a longtime favorite for scratch-made pastas. A scoop of Chocoberry from Amy’s Ice Creams makes the perfect sweet treat.
