Arizona’s vibrant art scene comes to life each month with free art walks in its most creative districts. These events provide a perfect opportunity to explore local galleries, meet artists and enjoy live entertainment.
The longest-running arts walk in the country, Scottsdale ArtWalk takes place every Thursday evening, with specially themed walks throughout the year. Explore Old Town Scottsdale’s arts district to peruse the art at more than 20 galleries and museums.
Phoenix’s First Friday Art Walk is one of the largest in the country, drawing thousands of visitors to Roosevelt Row Arts District and the Historic Grand Avenue Arts District. Immerse yourself in the city’s creative energy with street performers, food trucks, colorful murals, open galleries and independently owned boutiques.
Every second Saturday after 5 p.m., Bisbee After 5 transforms the historic mining town into a lively arts hub. Enjoy gallery receptions, special offers and live music.
Prescott’s 4th Friday Art Walk showcases local galleries and studios in the downtown area, along with artist receptions and live performances.
Sedona’s 1st Friday in the Galleries brings a serene, yet inspiring evening, where fine art galleries throughout the city offer wine, music and special exhibits. Hop on the Sedona Trolley for free transportation between galleries.
Jerome Art & Wine Walk takes place on the first Saturday of each month, offering a blend of art, wine tastings and stunning views. Explore artist studios, jewelry shops, vintage clothing and the world’s largest kaleidoscope store, Nellie Bly Kaleidoscopes, and enjoy free parking and shuttle services.
Any time of year, see vibrant murals throughout Salt River’s Talking Stick Entertainment District on the Salt River Art Trail to learn about the Pima and Maricopa Tribes.
Or, explore authentic Indigenous handicrafts in the galleries and artist studios along the Hopi Arts Trail starting from Moenkopi and traveling across the Hopi villages.
