As if its charm weren’t enough, several of the world’s leading tourism and hospitality corporations are investing in New Orleans — big time — making it a winning destination for your next event.

ELEVATED FACILITIES

The award-winning New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center embarked on a $557 million improvement plan, including renovations to 140 meeting rooms. The center’s commitment to sustainability also earned it a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification — the largest LEEDcertified project in Louisiana.

$560 million renovations to Caesars Superdome continue to electrify the space with wider concourses, redefined entrances, and improved traffic flow throughout the complex, while Caesars New Orleans continues a legacy of luxury with extensive exterior and interior updates. Fresh features include a hotel tower with expansive Mississippi River views, Nobu Hotel New Orleans (a hotel within a hotel!), and Nobu Restaurant, which serves Japanese cuisine in a cool, modern setting.

EXCEPTIONAL ATTRACTIONS

A $400 million expansion at The National WWII Museum is still drawing rave reviews. The museum launched the new Bollinger Canopy of Peace and Expressions of America, the latter of which combines advanced outdoor projection technology and oral history for an unparalleled visitor experience. Don’t miss Vue Orleans, an immersive observatory experience at the top of the Four Seasons. Meanwhile, experiential pop-up JAMNOLA sings of the city’s quintessential art, music, food, and entertainment scenes.

After a $40 million renovation, the Audubon Aquarium welcomes guests to a reimagined entrance, lobby, and 17,000 square feet of new exhibit space, while diversity and equity endeavors by the River District Community Development showcase the latest urban-planning trends across its 39 acres. These include 900 mixed-income housing units plus dining, retail, and entertainment options. Better still, the project emphasizes green spaces and community gathering areas.

LEADERSHIP IN SUSTAINABILITY

The Beach at UNO, a research and technology park, invests in the state’s energy innovation ecosystem through the Louisiana Wind Energy Hub. A $50 million federal grant to the hub’s H2theFuture initiative is funding a new energy cluster in South Louisiana. Meanwhile, the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana boasts an oyster-shell recycling program that has reprocessed more than 13 million pounds of shells. Their efforts have helped slow oyster-reef erosion and create an inviting, friendly habitat for new oysters to grow. The group partners with dozens of area restaurants to recycle their shells, so your attendees can contribute to the cause just by enjoying oysters!

“The team at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and New Orleans and Company was incredibly helpful and professional during our event. They were thoughtful, responsive, and quick to act as needed. It’s easy to have a great event in New Orleans!” - Brandon Sparling, CEM, CMP, Manager, Events and Meetings, True Value Company
