NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN ART
A collection of more than 7,000 works informs a dynamic Smithsonian location that offers a unique look at ancient and contemporary African artistic expression.
NATIVE AMERICAN VETERANS MEMORIAL
The beautifully designed tribute contains a stainless-steel circle balanced on a stone drum and is located on the grounds of the National Museum of the American Indian, which celebrates 20 years on the National Mall in 2024.
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. MEMORIAL
A 30-foot statue of Dr. King is carved into the Stone of Hope, which emerges from two large boulders known as the Mountain of Despair.

A four-acre urban park details the 34th U.S. president’s accomplishments through a series of sculptures and stainless steel tapestries.
The Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom features the original Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and Emancipation Proclamation.
Situated on 50 acres of parkland originally beneath the Potomac River, the oasis features a bird-friendly lake with a memorial island dedicated to the signatories of the Declaration.
