Head to any of our rural communities and ask where the best bar is. Get to know the friendly faces around you over a glass of red beer and maybe even a little karaoke. 2.COFFEE SHOPS We love our coffee here. (But come on, who doesn't?) Many of our small towns have a locally owned coffee shop that's perfect for getting a great-tasting cup of Joe. These are great places to also get recommendations on the best sites, attractions, eateries, and more. If you're in Yankton, stop at Muddy Mo's Coffee House, owned by South Dakota Magazine, for a memorable experience. 3.AWARD-WINNING PIZZA The Food Network named The Festus from Charlie's Pizza House 'the best slice of pizza in South Dakota' three times! With locations in Yankton and now Sioux Falls, you have twice the opportunity to experience South Dakota's first pizza house. 4.DINING EXPERIENCES Whether it's dining amidst walls packed with South Dakota antiques, catching a game and a mouthwatering burger at a local sports bar, or eating outside in an igloo when it's 10 degrees out (shown here), we have unforgettable experiences to go with your delicious food. If you're near Falls Park, we recommend grabbing a bite at the Falls Overlook Cafe. The historic building overlooking the falls is now home to a bright cafe with tasty food and yummy Stensland Family Farms ice cream. ! NOTHING BEATS A SOUTH DAKOTA STEAK We hate to brag, but...we know beef. While you're here, you MUST treat yourself to a tender, juicy South Dakota steak. Leave the cooking to the experts by visiting one of our many rural steakhouses, or take on the challenge of grilling at your campsite or vacation rental. Just don't even THINK about using ketchup with your meat!
