How did you choose Sonoma County as your wedding destination?
Sonoma County is such a beautiful, tranquil and nearby escape from San Francisco, where we currently live. We often take weekend getaways to visit friends in the area.
Where did you host your ceremony and reception, and why?
After visiting many locations, we chose Vintners Resort because of its exquisite grounds and other venues that could accommodate all of our wedding events including the welcome party, outdoor ceremony, cocktail party, dinner, reception and post-celebration brunch. Many of our guests also chose to stay at the resort. The entire staff at Vintners made us and our guests feel so at home.
What were some of your guests’ favorite sights and activities in Sonoma County?
We hosted a family luncheon at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens on the Thursday afternoon prior to our wedding. Several of our guests also toured downtown Santa Rosa and nearby vineyards, including Lynmar Estate and Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery.
Why would you recommend Sonoma County for other couples?
You can’t beat the beautiful surrounding areas within Sonoma County, with its great restaurants, shops and “hometown” feel of its local residents and vendors who you will work with.
