ANIMAL APPEAL
Get up close and personal with lemurs, zebras, camels, gibbons, porcupines, African cats, sloths and more at the 21-acre Leesburg Animal Park. The park’s indoor facility is open year-round and includes live animal exhibits, play structures for kids, birthday party rooms and a theater.
INDOOR ACTION
The largest indoor ropes course in the U.S., Summit Ropes in Sterling, is a 16,550-square-foot space with integrated climbing and various levels of difficulty. Over at iFly Loudoun, fly without a parachute thanks to ride-the-wind technology. SkyZone Trampoline Park in Sterling is wall-to-wall with interlocking trampolines for bouncy aerial fun. Figure skaters, hockey players, curlers and recreational skaters can find rinks at Ashburn Ice House and Leesburg’s Ion International Training Center to show off their moves.
FUN & GAMES
Top golf in Ashburn lets you practice your swing while The Zone, an all-in-one full entertainment venue, takes family fun to the next level. Autobahn Indoor Speedway is a European style indoor go-karting facility where you use high-speed electric Italian pro-karts inspired by Formula One racing cars. Ultimate Archery in Sterling is Virginia’s only archery dodge ball arena. Alternatively, get medieval at Axes & O’s, the Sterling axe throwing facility with eight lanes and its own bar and restaurant. Serious bowlers meanwhile should head to The Branch in Leesburg with its 16 lanes, an arcade and a restaurant-bar. With its 48 acres, Pev’s Paintball in Al die is the ultimate outdoor recreation park with 14 playing fields for heart-pounding games of paintball.
