TOP DINNER PICKS Satisfy Your Cravings Indulge in a night of fine dining or get together with friends for happy hour. With a variety of restaurants and cuisines from American to Japanese, there’s something for everyone and every occasion in Rock Springs and Green River. Satisfy your cravings at one of our top picks for local dinner spots. BITTER CREEK BREWING Bitter Creek Brewing is a local brew pub and a great place to have a good meal and try a local craft brew. The Blackened Salmon is a must-try when dining here. 604 Broadway St., Rock Springs Great place for a meal and a brew Had dinner and beer here. Very nice atmosphere. I had the homemade chicken pot pie and it was fantastic! My husband had the classic bacon burger and it was very good too! Economical place to eat! Good beer too! Date of visit: December 2019 Great beer, great food We enjoy exploring local microbreweries and weren’t disappointed at Bitter Creek during an overnight stop in Rock Springs. They follow COVID-19 guidelines to a “T” for tip-top, while still exuding great service with enthusiasm. We tried the Red Desert ale and the Coal Porter porter, which fit our tastes perfectly. Date of visit: January 2021 BROADWAY BURGER STATION Get off the highway and head into Downtown Rock Springs to arrive at Broadway Burger Station. Don’t forget to order a shake—it’s a must! The kids will also love this restaurant for its kids’ meals served in a retro car basket that they get to keep. 628 Broadway St., Rock Springs Fantastic burgers and service It was extremely busy but we had an excellent waitress and experience dining here. The burgers are awesome! Would definitely recommend dining here. Date of visit: September 2021 Top Notch Diner Outstanding locally owned 50’s style diner. The selection of soups, sandwiches and burgers is awesome. My family had chili, chicken noodle soup, burgers and fries. All were made fresh and served hot. The service was outstanding for the entire meal. The prices are extremely reasonable. Date of visit: August 2021 SAPPORO JAPANESE STEAK HOUSE If you’re looking for food and a fun night out, this is the place to go! The chefs really put on a show at this hibachi steak house. It’s fun for all ages and the food is full of delicious flavor, especially the popular steak and shrimp dishes served with fried rice and veggies. 2461 Foothill Blvd., Rock Springs Great stop along the way The service here is friendly and quality! They have a great beer, wine and liquor selection with some great appetizers! Even though I’m not a huge fan of hibachi, the food was very tasty and the chef cooked everything to perfection. Date of visit: June 2021 Really Good Food We stopped in on a whim as we were passing through town and had a really good meal. Everything was fresh and hot and the service was prompt and kind. A very COVID aware restaurant and we felt safe. Date of visit: October 2020 HITCHING POST RESTAURANT & SALOON The Hitching Post has something for everyone including enchiladas, fried chicken, wings and so much more. Try the Artichoke Dip appetizer, yum! 580 E. Flaming Gorge Way, Green River Nice surprise in a small town We tried the Hitching Post Restaurant for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is modest, but the service is good and the food good and plentiful. My husband had beef stroganoff and it had shredded beef, which was a nice touch. I had Reuben sandwich and hand-cut fries, again a nice touch. If we are ever in the area again, we would be happy to eat there. Date of visit: May 2020 Great Family Meal We had some great food and service. The fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, wings, burgers and onion rings were all great in a family-friendly and safe environment. Date of visit: August 2020 MI CASITA When you want authentic Mexican food, Mi Casita is the locals’ choice! You can’t go wrong with one of their burritos smothered in green chili! 36 E. Flaming Gorge Way, Green River Fantastic! I’m a Green River, Wyoming native although I lived in So. CA for many years. This restaurant was new to me but I love this part of town so that’s where my husband and I ate lunch today. My husband dislikes refried beans and Mexican rice but at my urging, he tasted both. And then he shoveled them in! The beans were perfect, the best. Date of visit: September 2018 Give Mi Casita your business Give Mi Casita your business if you find yourself in Green River. After 2 days of fast food, it was wonderful to eat a grilled chicken salad. Rest of family enjoyed their smothered burritos. Date of visit: October 2020 SANTA FE SOUTHWEST GRILL Santa Fe Southwest Grill is a favorite among locals. They are known for their whiskey sauce and any menu item with that on it is sure to be delicious! They also offer happy hour margaritas, making it a great place to enjoy an evening out. 1635 Elk St., Rock Springs Amazing food!!!! Best Tex Mex we’ve had in a long time!!! Large portions. Amazing flavor. Great service and atmosphere. Date of visit: May 2021 It’s Not Mexican, It’s Very Tasty Southwestern! Somewhat different menu- a lot of items carry Mexican food type names, but the ingredients and preparation are definitely Southwestern (Four Corners). We had the stuffed sopapilla and Navajo taco. Both were outstanding. The creamy jalapeño sauce had a nice zest. The salsa was excellent with an unusual smoky flavor. It was obvious to us that the food is made in-house. Date of visit: March 2021
