C Fort Laramie National Historic site near Guernsey and Torrington Tour restored buildings at the largest military post on the northern plains at Fort Laramie National Historic Site, a former 1834 private fur-trading station turned military post to protect trail travelers. E Guernsey state park Guernsey Explore historical structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, including a museum located at the top of a cliff that gives way to expansive views of a sparkling reservoir. F Glendo state park Glendo Sparkling Glendo Reservoir attracts boaters, water skiers, swimmers and anglers. National Historic Trails interpretive Center Step back in time to understand the hardships and victories of those who ventured west in the 1800s on the Oregon, Mormon, California and Pony Express trails at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper. Oregon Trail Ruts state Historic site View wagon tracks left by Oregon Trail travelers at the Oregon Trail Ruts State Historic Site near Guernsey, then head 2.5 miles east to Register Cliff to see where emigrants carved their names and travel dates.
