Local Craft Beer Trail

2021-09-09 13:28:31

With more than 30 local craft breweries and brewpubs, Sonoma County has become a haven for craft beer aficionados. Beer for breakfast? We’ve got two spots for you to check out. At Brew Coffee & Beer you’ll find specialty coffees, baked good, light bites for lunch and 10 rotating taps of beers and ciders. We also recommend stopping by Russian River Brewing to taste one of their seasonal brews. On February 4, the brewery will host its annual celebration of the Pliny the Younger release. This triple IPA is only available for two weeks in February making it one of the most highly anticipated beer releases of the year. Craft beer fanatics from all over the state and country travel to Sonoma County every year to savor the unique flavor of this brew. Pliny the Younger is only available as a local distribution, pub draft at Russian River’s Downtown Santa Rosa and Windsor locations. If you’ve always wanted to try your hand at homebrewing, stop by The Beverage People. They sell everything you need to start a home fermentation process and are happy to share their expertise. Don’t forget to stop by The Barlow, a 12.5 acre industry park that houses several breweries including Woodfour Brewing Company and Crooked Goat Brewing. If you prefer ciders over beer, stop in to Golden State Cider, also located at The Barlow, which specializes in apple flavored ciders. Recently dubbed the Microbrew Capital of the U.S., Santa Rosa spends the entire month of February (aka FeBREWary) celebrating local craft beer. You can download the Santa Rosa Beer Passport to be your guide to the craft beer scene while also winning prizes along the way. Explore the entire Sonoma County Beer Trail here.
