ACTION-PACKED ITINERARIES FOR EXPLORING Sweetwater County ONE DAY OF “WOW” 8:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. Take the Pilot Butte Wild Horse Loop Tour in a high-clearance, AWD vehicle. Wear closed toed shoes, a light jacket and maybe a hat. The route will be one of your best chances to spot wild horses, so make sure to bring a camera and binoculars! Start the 24-mile tour from Fourteen Mile Hill, north of Rock Springs. The drive takes about 90 minutes to travel and ends in Green River. 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. From Green River, drive the western half of the Flaming Gorge Scenic Byway south on HWY-530. 1:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M. Stop at the Restaurant at Flaming Gorge Resort for lunch in a rustic and cozy environment.
