Welcome To Wyoming

As a native to Wyoming, it is my privilege to invite you and your family to experience all that this incredible state has to offer. In many ways, Wyoming is a place of firsts: It was the first territory in the world to grant women the right to vote; it’s home to the world’s first national park, Yellowstone; the country’s first national monument, Devils Tower; and the country’s first national forest, Shoshone. While these notable firsts are unique to Wyoming, it’s the frontier spirit and deep-rooted Western hospitality that combine to create a truly special destination unlike any other. Wyoming is a place where you can find adventure in all corners of the state — from Cody in the northwest to Laramie in the southeast — and everywhere in between. At the end of your journey, you’ll understand why Wyoming is such a special place for visitors and for those of us who are lucky enough to call this state home. On behalf of the Wyoming Office of Tourism and the state’s hospitality and tourism industry, welcome! I trust you’ll find all the information you need in this guide to make your trip to Wyoming a truly memorable one. Diane Shober, Executive Director, Wyoming Office of Tourism
