WESTERN WYOMING COMMUNITY COLLEGE’S NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM ROCK SPRINGS See life-size replicas of the dinosaurs that once roamed Wyoming, and artifacts like pottery, fossils and other prehistoric items — each offering a rare glimpse into this era. 2. ROUNDHOUSE & RAILYARDS EVANSTON As the only remaining complete roundhouse on the old Union Pacific line between Omaha and Sacramento, it has turntables and bays that are still operational. Explore farther along the Bear River Greenway, which connects to Bear River State Park. 3. INTERMITTENT SPRING AFTON Known as the “spring that breathes,” this geological feature is one of only three other periodic springs in the world that flows on predictable intervals. Drink in even more beauty on the Star Valley Scenic Byway. 4. MUSEUM OF THE MOUNTAIN MAN PINEDALE Cradled by the Bridger-Teton National Forest and Wind River Mountains, Pinedale offers recreation, wildlife viewing and a peek at culture and beginnings of the fur-trade era. JACKSON HOLE AERIAL TRAM TETON VILLAGE Ride the tram in Teton Village up 4,139 feet to unparalleled wraparound views of Bridger-Teton National Forest and Grand Teton National Park. Several hiking trails are also available from the 10,450-foot summit.
