Every April and October, the best Thoroughbred owners, trainers and jockeys gather at this National Historic Landmark to compete for North America’s richest purse money. American Saddlebred Museum

The largest collection of Saddlebred artifacts in the world are gathered within this “Showplace for Saddlebreds,” including tack, artwork, trophies, photographs and a vast collection of artwork by noted equine artist George Ford Morris. Located on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park, the museum narrates the role of the Saddlebred in U.S. history.
Shelbyville Horse Show

The Saddlebred, a high-stepping equine marvel, is celebrated in grand style during an award-winning four-day show, held the end of July/first weekend of August at the Shelby County Fairgrounds.
