The LEED Gold-certified Moscone Center boasts the second-largest publicly owned solar power system in the nation (on its roof) and has continuously raised the recycling standard for convention centers since 1998, pioneering an ambitious program to compost food-service waste and diverting 2.4 million total pounds of recyclable trash from landfills annually.
