The chic hotel features 297 guest rooms and suites, along with more than 10,000 square feet of art-filled exhibition and event space. Hyatt Place Chicago/Wicker Park offers 99 modern rooms and suites. Hold a meeting or event in one of the hotel’s three flexible spaces. Or plan a cocktail party at The Kennedy, the seventh-floor rooftop lounge. Sable at Navy Pier Chicago is a stunning new boutique hotel that’s part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. Located adjacent to Festival Hall, the 220-room hotel boasts skyline and Lake Michigan views. The St. Regis Chicago will be the third-tallest skyscraper in the city when it opens later this year. The 101-story tower will house a 191-room hotel and upscale residences, along with restaurants operated by Chicago’s renowned Alinea Group. The 115-room Nobu Hotel Chicago features a Nobu restaurant and The Rooftop at Nobu, an indoor/outdoor lounge overlooking Randolph Street’s Restaurant Row. The hotel also features 3,245 square feet of meeting and event space. The dual-branded, 210-room Hyatt Place/Hyatt House hotel has taken up residence in the former Cook County Hospital, along with Dr. Murphy’s Food Hall and an on-site museum that traces the building’s fascinating history. DINING Opening this year is the newest outpost of Jaleo, owned by renowned Spanish chef and global activist José Andrés. The 10,000-square-foot River North restaurant will serve tapas, paella, and sangria. The hotly anticipated Ever, run by Michelin-starred chef Curtis Duffy, opened in Fulton Market. Expect to spend at least two hours indulging in the multicourse tasting menu. A private dining room accommodates 12 guests. Michelin-starred chef Carlos Gaytán melds his Mexican heritage and love of French cuisine at Tzuco in River North. Dishes like the Guerrero-style pork shank reflect the recipes of Gaytán’s childhood in Huitzuco, Mexico. James Beard Award-winning chef Carrie Nahabedian cooks up Mediterranean coastal cuisine at Kostali, located in The Gwen Hotel. Elegant private dining spaces are available. Porto restaurant and wine bar in West Town is inspired by fishing villages in Spain and Portugal, and offers an array of seafood dishes. The sun-filled Atrium is perfect for large groups, with communal dining tables and a retractable roof. Transport your guests to Paris at Francois Frankie, featuring classic French fare and a whimsical revolving carousel bar. The Courtyard (dining room) seats 68, while the carousel bar and lounge can accommodate 75 reception-style. The candy-colored Lips Chicago is the first Midwest outpost of the dazzling drag show-and-dinner venue. Plan a diva dinner or cocktail party for up to 200 guests. KOVAL Distillery opened a new tasting room on the city’s Malt Row, a collection of breweries and distilleries in the Ravenswood neighborhood. The new 40,000-square-foot facility includes a patio and space for whiskey workshops. Moody Tongue Brewing Company has relocated to the South Loop near McCormick Place, featuring a casual bar/ tasting room and a 28-seat fine dining room with a tasting menu from Michelin-starred chef Jared Wentworth. The four-level Starbucks Reserve Roastery on The Magnificent Mile is the world’s largest Starbucks. The experiential store offers private tours, coffee and cocktail tastings, and semiprivate event spaces. Snakes & Lattes is a Bucktown cafe offering hundreds of board games, two escape rooms, and Asian-influenced international street food. Private party rooms are available. WoodWind offers sophisticated New American fare on the 18th floor of the Lavin Family Pavilion within Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The restaurant features more than 12,000 square feet of event space, including a private bar with breathtaking lake views and a rooftop garden. VENUES THE TAP Powered by Xfinity is a new tech-forward entertainment and business lounge-like venue located at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. THE TAP is available for private meetings and events. The architecturally spectacular Old Post Office has been meticulously renovated and houses high-profile tenants like the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Plan an event in the stunning Art Deco lobby or one of the modernized meeting spaces. New music venue Radius opened in a former steel factory in the Pilsen neighborhood. The 55,000-square-foot space accommodates up to 3,800 people and offers a state-of-the-art sound system. Within Radius is Cermak Hall, an event space with its own bar and stage that can host 1,350 guests. Botánico is a lush private event space located in Wicker Park, above new Spanish restaurant-sherry bar-gourmet market Mama Delia and sultry speakeasy Bordel. Botánico is made up of two distinct rooms decorated with tropical greenery, farmhouse dining tables, and colorful large-scale paintings by local artists. The space, which includes an open chef’s demo kitchen, can accommodate 60 guests for a sit-down dinner or 100 for a reception. Convene at 333 North Green Street is situated in the hot Fulton Market district. The venue features more than 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space accommodating up to 340 people, along with hospitality teams to assist planners.
