GLENDO STATE PARK, ERIC LINDBERG 1 GLENDO DAM WETLANDS INTERPRETIVE TRAIL: RIVERSIDE SPLENDOR Easy, 4 miles This leisurely stroll follows the North Platte River through Glendo State Park’s lush riparian habitats and leads to two fishing and observation piers. The park also boasts 40 miles of diverse trails for mountain bikers. 2 MUDDY MOUNTAIN INTERPRETIVE NATURE TRAIL: TEEMING WITH WILDLIFE Easy, 2 miles Nestled within the Muddy Mountain Environmental Education Area south of Casper, this trail travels through forest, sagebrush and grasslands, offering prime opportunities to spot deer, antelope, blue grouse and elk. Additional hiking trails are available as well as dispersed camping in the 1,260-acre natural area. 3 BRIDLE TRAIL: REFRESHING FALLS Moderate, 4 miles Stunning views of Casper, rock outcroppings and cascading Garden Creek Falls highlight this steep out-and-back trail on Casper Mountain. Access the route from picturesque Rotary Park, also an excellent spot for a pre- or post-hike picnic. 4 LABONTE CANYON: MULTIFACETED BEAUTY Moderate, 6 miles Look for beavers, elk, bighorn sheep, black bears and raccoons on this outand- back trail near Douglas, and meander below soaring ponderosa pines and thriving cottonwoods and willows. Nearby Curtis Gulch Campground is a popular home base for ramblers seeking multi-day adventures. GARDEN CREEK FALLS, WYOMING OFFICE OF TOURISM 5 MEADOW CREEK TRAIL: SERENE SOLITUDE Difficult, 6 miles The views of Dundee Mountain, paired with plenty of solitude, are worth the challenging ascent. Just outside Meeteetse in the Absaroka Range, this trail leads hikers across a number of switchbacks and through a massive old rockslide to an unspoiled alpine basin.
