ACCESSIBLE TRAVEL

North Myrtle Beach welcomes travelers of all abilities. There are 48 accessible public beach accesses with wheelchair accessibility, and the city rents beach wheelchairs at no charge. A first-ever fully wheelchair-accessible path to the hard sand will be available from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with mats rolled on and off the beach daily for easy access. Local organizations like the Adaptive Surf Project offer adaptive surf sessions and host annual events for surfers of all ages and abilities.

BEACH PARKING TIPS

Paid parking for beachfront lots and designated side streets is in effect March 1 through October 31, with fees required from 9 am to 5 pm. Signage for the parking app indicates where and when parking fees apply. A free parking lot is available on Main Street, east of Hillside Drive.
