Join the festivities at LGBTQ+ festivals across the state and throughout the year, where rainbow flag-flying communities and their allies celebrate acceptance and equality with plenty of glitz and glitter. MAY 16 New Hope Celebrates Pridefest You can be yourself in Bucks County when you strut your stuff from Lambertville, New Jersey across the bridge into New Hope, Pennsylvania along with marching bands, floats, and New Hope Celebrates’ 100-foot rainbow equality flag. JUNE 14 LGBT Pride Parade and Festival, Philadelphia There’s an entire weekend of events that heralds in a flamboyant parade through the Gayborhood to the judges’ booth at 6th and Market — think Best Float, Best Theme, and Gayest in the Parade — and onward to Penn’s Landing for a festival with food, music, celebrity guests, and community organizations. JUNE 27 Erie Pride Join the LGBTQ+ community — including those from smaller western Pennsylvania and Ohio towns — in solidarity and parade to Perry Square for Pridefest, featuring live music, vendors, performances, and speakers. JULY (TBD) NEPA Pride Northeast Pennsylvania celebrates Pride Month with a round-up of events including Wilkes-Barre’s NEPA Pride: March to the Park, a daylong event that includes vendors, health screenings, 5K walk/run, parade to Kirby Park and NEPA Pride Fest with games and drag shows. JULY 17–19 Pittsburgh Pride Andy Warhol would have been proud — and he sure would have loved the pop of color — at Pittsburgh Pride — the largest Pride event in Pennsylvania, which will move to a new location this year: Point State Park. Check out Pittsburgh’s most vibrant march, which includes a Pride color guard parading to the beat of its own drum, followed by a motorcycle club, drag queens and kings, furries, local politicians, and businesses. JULY 25 Pride Festival of Central PA Now in its 28th year, the Pride Festival of Central PA regularly attracts more than 5,000 gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight allies to the state Capitol Complex in Harrisburg for its weekend-long event including the Voices United concert, PrideFest, and a Spirits United service on Sunday. AUGUST 16 Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley Highlighting LGBTQ+ arts and culture and including kids, teen, and sober-social spaces, Allentown’s Lehigh Valley Pride presents queer entertainment, an artist promenade, drag bingo, and more than 150 vendors.
