It’s so easy to get to – and around – Charleston and the Kanawha Valley!

GETTING HERE
Located within two-thirds of the U.S. population at the confluence of three interstates (64, 77, 79) and served by Yeager Airport, named for the pilot who first broke the sound barrier (Chuck Yeager), this laid-back region offers a much-needed respite from the hectic pace of big-city life. Amtrak’s Cardinal also provides easy access for travelers from Chicago to Washington, DC.

GETTING AROUND
Kanawha Rapid Transit (with its smart phone app) provides looped transportation throughout the area, and the valley is served by Uber, Lyft and C&H Taxi. All major rental car services are available at the airport and other locations around the region.

FIRST STOP
The Charleston Visitors Desk inside historic Capitol Market is a great place to start your tour of the area. You can grab a cup of coffee or bite to eat, plus ask questions and pick up brochures to plan your stay.
