Zappos.com Bay to Breakers is an annual footrace that has run continuously since 1912. Starting near the San Francisco Bay and ending at the Great Highway, the 12K race offers a full experience of the city between the breakers and the Bay. “The Haight-Ashbury Street Fair!” – Mona P. Honoring one of the city’s most diverse neighborhoods, this annual street fair will be especially festive this year as Haight- Ashbury celebrates the 50th anniversary of its legendary Summer of Love. “Bay Bridge lit up during the holidays. No other city like it.” – Tania A. “Pride was amazing to experience.” – Kent F. The San Francisco Pride Parade and Celebration features over 200 parade contingents and exhibitors alongside more than 20 community-run stages and venues, making it the largest gathering of LGBTQ support in the nation. The parade kicks off along Market from Beale Street and ends in the heart of downtown. “Fleet Week and the Blue Angels” – Rob M. “2016’s Comic-Con was a smashing success; 2017 should be even better.” – Stephen C. “Folsom and Castro Street Fairs” – Jeffrey P. Proceeds from both fairs go to local charitable causes. September’s Folsom Street Fair is an “only in San Francisco” event featuring leather and fetish players from all over the world with more than 200 exhibitor booths.
