SPRING Vines begin to bud, the surrounding land starts to green and new rosés come online. Signature events: Barrel Tasting; Taste of Rosé Weekend SUMMER Grapes are ripening, tasting rooms are bustling and visitors soak up stunning vistas while sipping crisp whites and light reds on sun-drenched lawns. Signature events: Tarara Summer Concert Series; Taste Leesburg; Purcellville Wine & Food Festival FALL Harvest time. Grapes are picked and crushed and new vintages are released. Signature events: 868 Estate Vineyards’ LoCo Musicians Festival; Loudoun Wine Awards. October is also Virginia Wine Month. WINTER Tasting rooms get cozy with crackling fireplaces and holiday lights, there’s snow in the vines and big, bold red blends are in demand.
