BIG GROUPS (100+)

Located on the third floor of a historic Fulton Market building, Aba restaurant’s private event hall, The Dalcy, features modern American fare for up to 600 in a rustic-elegant setting. The Dalcy also has access to a lovely landscaped rooftop patio.

Shore Club Chicago offers a variety of private event options for groups of up to 1,200. The unique beachfront space features a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, customizable menus and unparalleled views of Lake Michigan only steps away.

World-class steaks and house-made pastas are just some of the dining perks at Gibsons Italia. But breathtaking river and city views from The Rooftop (150 guests reception-style) and entire tri-level restaurant (750 guests) are the real standouts.

Bodega, the private dining room at Barrio in River North, is decorated with elegant chandeliers and modern furniture. Bodega can accommodate 100 seated guests and 130 for receptions. Chef Katsuji Tanabe, a Top Chef alum, is behind Barrio’s creative riffs on traditional Mexican dishes.

Located next to Wrigley Field, Budweiser Brickhouse Tavern offers private indoor and outdoor spaces for groups of up to 900. A DJ booth and stage, as well as refined sports bar fare, add to its fun atmosphere.

River North’s RPM Italian specializes in modern Italian cuisine for private parties of up to 300 guests. Handcrafted pastas, Italian classics and signature cocktails add to its allure.

Southeast Asia serves as inspiration for River North’s chic Sunda. Some 100 seated guests can enjoy family-style meals, multi-course menus and even a sushi buffet in its spacious second-floor event space.

With seven private and semi-private rooms accommodating up to 200 guests, the West Loop’s Carnivale has fiesta in its DNA. Inventive Latin American fare, festive cocktails and colorful decor create a party like no other.

Options abound at ZED451, whether it’s a reception on the rooftop for 115 or a sit-down dinner for 500. Customize your experience with family-style or tableside-service menus at this Brazilian-inspired River North restaurant.

Award-winning chefs Tony Mantuano and John Hogan are behind the American tavern menu of roasted meats and fish at River Roast. Six private dining spaces can accommodate up to 450 guests in the restaurant’s landmark building, which has up-close Chicago River views.

Located in a historic Loop building, Revival Food Hall features an eclectic mix of Chicago’s favorite neighborhood restaurants. The lobby space accommodates up to 650, while groups of up to 250 can enjoy The Lounge, a sixth-floor indoor/outdoor space.

SMALL GROUPS (LESS THAN 100)

Artistic American describes both the cuisine and decor at the sleek Bellemore. The West Loop restaurant’s elegant 20-seat private dining room includes a view into the bustling kitchen.

Celebrated chef Lee Wolen heads the American-inspired Somerset in the Gold Coast’s hip Viceroy Chicago, serving unique twists on seasonal American cuisine. Three private dining rooms offer sophisticated settings for 22 to 90 guests.

At Proxi, chef Andrew Zimmerman explores global street food in a beautiful setting inspired by mid-century brasseries. Inventive design details are also found in the 14-seat private dining room.

Pilsen’s Vietnamese HaiSous has charm to spare. And that includes its next-door cafe, Ca Phe Da, which can accommodate 30 guests for sit-down dinners and 45 for reception-style events.

Logan Square’s Fat Rice has earned a slew of fans, the James Beard Foundation included, for its flavorful Macanese cuisine and playful decor. A range of food and beverage packages is available in four spaces for 18 to 40 guests.

Like the Museum of Contemporary Art where it resides, Marisol offers plenty of eye-candy with beautifully plated, hyper-seasonal dishes. Its private dining room accommodates up to 40 seated guests.

Tacos, street snacks and Mexican specialties from celebrity chef Rick Bayless are featured at La Vista, the new private space at his renowned River North restaurant, Frontera Grill. La Vista accommodates up to 32 seated guests or 50 reception-style.

California cuisine reigns supreme at Pacific Standard Time, boasting two wood-burning hearths and talented chef Erling Wu-Bower. The River North restaurant’s spacious private room accommodates up to 58 guests seated or 100 standing.

Prime steak and fresh seafood dominate the menu at Steak 48, a handsome bilevel River North restaurant. Steak 48 offers three options for private dining, accommodating groups as small as 18 and up to 90.

A South Loop landmark, The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant has three unique private rooms, plus the seasonal outdoor veranda, accommodating 18 to 64 seated guests. Specialties include steaks, chops and seafood, along with old school-style service.

With some 200 cocktails, Hollywood-inspired decor, global cuisine and fabulous drag entertainment, Boystown’s Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club is party central. Its semi-private room can fit 40 guests.

the Albert is an imaginative contemporary restaurant in Hotel EMC2 that serves Insta-worthy globally inspired cuisine. Up to 80 seated guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Albert’s main dining room. Three private dining spaces include the airy outdoor terrace, which can accommodate up to 35 for a reception.
